Manchester United are moving closer to signing Roma midfielder Manu Kone after reportedly agreeing personal terms with the France international.
Kone deal progressing
According to Corriere dello Sport, Kone has said yes to the move. A fee remains to be finalised, with a bid of around £42.7million (€50m) expected. Real Madrid had a £34.1m (€40m) offer rejected for the player. Chelsea and Al-Ahli are also interested, which could push the asking price to £51.2m (€60m).
Baleba keen on United
Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba's representatives have reportedly contacted United again to explore a transfer. Fabrizio Romano claims the 22-year-old's camp is in touch, with the player keen to join manager Michael Carrick. Baleba was interested in a move last summer, but Brighton's £100m demand halted talks. His price has now dropped to around £70m.
United have already signed Karl Darlow, Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos this summer under Carrick, who is building a squad for his first permanent season in charge.
