Liverpool's transfer business has accelerated under new manager Andoni Iraola, with the Spaniard already securing his first signing and setting sights on further reinforcements. After triggering Victor Munoz's release clause from Osasuna, Iraola is now targeting a midfield addition previously linked to Jurgen Klopp.
Khephren Thuram Emerges as Transfer Target
According to Italian publication Corriere Dello Sport, Liverpool are interested in Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram. The 25-year-old Frenchman was a reported target of Jurgen Klopp during his time at Nice. Thuram has been a key player for Juventus over two seasons but missed out on the 2026 World Cup squad. Standing 6'4", his physicality and two-way ability could fit Iraola's fast-paced, high-pressing style at Anfield.
Inter Milan Sets Deadline for Curtis Jones
Inter Milan have reignited their interest in Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, with a transfer deadline set for July 16. The Serie A champions initially pursued Jones in January and have now submitted a £17 million bid, while Liverpool values the academy graduate at £26 million. Inter plan to complete the deal before their pre-season training begins, after finalizing a move for Atalanta's Marco Palestra.
Liverpool have already seen departures of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, and Ibrahima Konate this summer, and further exits are expected as Iraola reshapes the squad.
