Liverpool are emerging as frontrunners in the race to sign Yan Diomande this summer and are understood to have informed RB Leipzig they are willing to pay up to €100million (£86.7m) to sign the attacker.
The news comes hot on the heels of their stunning swoop for Victor Munoz, who was Newcastle-bound before Liverpool hijacked the deal at the eleventh hour. He has since been confirmed as a Reds player, joining for £34.5m from Osasuna.
Liverpool are in the market for new attackers this summer with their talisman, Mohamed Salah, set to move on.
And the chances of Liverpool pressing the button on a blockbuster deal for Diomande is growing, with The Athletic reporting they have now informed the Ivory Coast star's current club they are willing to pay big money to strike an agreement.
