Phelan noted that the noise cancellation effectively reduces continuous sounds like train engine noise, while adaptive transparency allows users to hear surroundings without pausing music.
The newer AirPods Pro 3 offer a notable upgrade in active noise cancellation and battery life, now reaching eight hours with ANC compared to six hours on the Pro 2. Currently, Amazon and other retailers including John Lewis and AO have £20 off the AirPods Pro 3.
For those seeking over-ear headphones, no deals are available on new AirPods Max, but a refurbished pair from Back Market offers a £150 saving. Phelan praised the spatial audio on the AirPods Max, describing the immersive sound as 'absolutely mind-blowing'.
