Harry Potter fans in the UK can now watch all eight movies for free on ITVX, along with the Fantastic Beasts trilogy, following a new agreement between Warner Bros and ITV.
Free Streaming on ITVX
The entire collection of Harry Potter films is now available to stream at no cost on ITVX. The deal also includes the three Fantastic Beasts movies, with future broadcasts scheduled on ITV1 and ITV2.
Darren Nartey, Head of ITV Content Acquisitions, said: "We are extremely proud to make these iconic British films available for both old and new fans to stream, for free, during the summer holidays and beyond."
25th Anniversary Approaching
The agreement comes just months before the franchise marks the 25th anniversary of the debut of the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which premiered in cinemas on November 16, 2001. The film series has grossed over $9.6 billion globally at the box office, according to The Mirror.
About the Films
The Harry Potter films are based on J.K. Rowling's novels. The story follows an orphaned boy, Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), who discovers he is a wizard on his 11th birthday and attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to study magic while preparing to defeat the dark wizard Lord Voldemort. He is joined by his closest friends Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint).
