A one-off Land Rover commissioned by actor and former footballer Vinnie Jones could fetch up to £150,000 at auction. The vehicle is a restored 1995 Defender 110, built from the chassis up for the star of Gone in 60 Seconds.
Unique Features and Specification
The Defender includes a plaque bearing Jones' famous quote "It's been emotional" from the 1998 film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. It is finished in Corris Grey Metallic with bespoke exterior detailing, quilted Nappa leather, Härkila tweed trim, and a rear entertainment system. The vehicle has covered only 1,584 miles since completion and is offered with the registration number 'G25 GUN'.
Power comes from a rebuilt BMW 4.6-litre V8 engine paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox, with Bilstein suspension and a stainless-steel twin side-exit exhaust. The car was built for Jones by Squire Editions and completed in 2024.
Auction Details
Iconic Auctioneers will offer the vehicle at its Classic Sale at CarFest, taking place at The Wing at Silverstone Circuit on 29 and 30 August. The estimate is £100,000 to £150,000.
Rob Hubbard, managing director and principal auctioneer at Iconic Auctioneers, said: "This is a hugely individual Defender, with an interesting ownership story and a specification that reflects the level of thought and craftsmanship that has gone into the build. Our Classic Sales bring together cars for enthusiasts and collectors across a wide range of values, and this one-off Land Rover is a fine example of the quality and variety we aim to offer."
Builder's Description
On the Squire Editions website, it states: "This beautiful Landrover Defender was created for Vinnie Jones by Squire Edition and cost considerably more than the price quoted today. Described by Vinnie on TV last week as 'one of the very best Landrovers in the country, if not the world' it really does need to be seen to be believed. The car has a completely re-built BMW 4.6is V8 engine fitted along with a BMW 8-speed automatic gearbox."
The Iconic Auctioneers website notes that the Defender was comprehensively restored from the chassis up, combining the familiar Land Rover design with modern mechanical components and highly individual detailing.
