Tesco has issued an urgent recall for its Growers Harvest Garden Peas due to possible contamination with an unknown type of berry, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA). The supermarket giant is urging customers to check their freezers and return affected products for a full refund.
The recall notice, originally published on November 27, remains active until December 27, 2023. Several batches are thought to be affected, and the FSA has warned that the berries could render the product unsafe to consume.
Tesco advised: 'Please do not consume this product and return it to the store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required.' Customers can also contact Tesco customer services for further information.
In a separate recall, Tesco has also withdrawn two Mars Wrigley UK products: Revels Milk Chocolate Sharing Pouch Bag (205g) and Revels Milk Chocolate Pouch Bag (112g), due to the potential presence of very small pieces of rubber. The recall for these items was issued on December 1, 2023.
Tesco apologised for any inconvenience caused to customers and urged anyone with the affected products to return them immediately.
