Tesco has launched a new frozen pizza that is sparking debate among food fans. The 'loaded' lasagne pizza features a classic crust topped with seasoned beef, creamy white sauce and mozzarella. Priced at £2.95, or £2.50 with a Clubcard, it is available in the frozen section of stores and online.
The product was shared on the popular food and drink page New Foods UK on Instagram and Facebook, prompting a flurry of reactions. One shopper commented: 'Loved this pizza definitely buying it again.' Another wrote: 'Some of my ancestors are rolling in their graves but this is now on my list for next time I'm in Tesco.'
However, not everyone is convinced. One critic said: 'Eww couldn't think of anything worse.' Despite mixed reviews, many are eager to try it, with one person joking that they needed to taste it for 'research purposes'.
The lasagne pizza is part of Tesco's Takeaway pizza range, which also includes options like the Cheeky BBQ Chicken Stuffed Crust and the Big Cheeseburger pizza. Tesco shoppers have recently expressed concerns over rising prices of everyday items, with one customer noting that Kenco coffee now costs £8.35 and olive oil £5.55 for a small bottle.
