Sky iPhone Duo pre-order deal saves shoppers £264

Sky Mobile is offering savings of up to £264 on Apple's new foldable iPhone Duo, which it claims is the 'lowest price' compared to rival networks. Pre-orders opened on Friday, October 16, with the device priced from £47 per month when spread over a 48-month term.

The discounts apply when pairing the iPhone Duo with a Sky data plan, with prices slashed across the entire SIM range. A 1GB plan costs £1 (was £8), 5GB is £6 (was £13), 25GB is £10 (was £17), and 75GB is £14 (was £25). The 75GB tier delivers the £264 saving over 24 months, while unlimited data is available for £21 (was £28).

iPhone Duo specs and availability

The iPhone Duo is Apple's first foldable phone, featuring a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR display when open, which is 50% larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a 5.4-inch outer display. It measures just 5.2mm thick when unfolded. The device is powered by the A20 Pro chip and iOS 27, with an 'all-day' battery life, Apple Intelligence, and Siri AI. The camera system includes 48MP Fusion main and ultra-wide lenses, plus an AI-powered 'Smart Take' function that captures a photo when the subject is ready.

The iPhone Duo is available in star white and night sky colourways, with storage options from 256GB to 2TB. However, stock is not expected to ship until January 2027, as retailers have sold out of their initial pre-order allocation. Sky's device plan runs for 48 months and has a £12 upfront cost.

Mobiles.co.uk is also taking pre-orders, with an expected delivery date of November 12. At Vodafone, shoppers can save up to £855 when trading in an eligible phone, with standard plans starting at £27.45 per month plus £100 upfront. There's also £72 off the unlimited data tariff at £80.08 per month and £100 upfront.

For outright purchases, prices range from £1,999 to £3,199 at Apple, Amazon, and Argos.

Reaction to the foldable

Apple CEO John Ternus hailed the iPhone Duo as 'the most transformational change' to the iPhone since the original. Technology Editor Dave Snelling, who handled the device at Apple's California headquarters, called it 'a phone that turns heads', praising the large inner screen for movies, browsing, gaming, and multitasking, while noting the £1,999 price puts it in 'luxury territory'. He added that Apple has a habit of turning existing technology into a must-have product, suggesting the Duo could become the phone everyone wants.
