Quiz Clothing, a major UK fashion retailer, closed its remaining 20 stores this weekend after collapsing into administration for the second time in 12 months. The company, which once operated 40 stores across the UK, entered administration in February 2026. Final stock was slashed with discounts of 70 to 80 percent in some locations before the last stores shut on Saturday, June 20.
Second administration within a year
This marks the retailer's second collapse in the space of 12 months, highlighting the ongoing financial challenges facing the UK high street. The closures come as stores nationwide continue to shut due to economic pressures across the retail industry.
Alistair McAlinden, head of Interpath in Scotland and joint administrator, said: “As the Quiz stores close their doors for the final time, we would like to thank every member of staff for their commitment over the past five months. In exceptionally challenging circumstances, their professionalism ensured the business could continue to trade effectively. We are extremely grateful for their efforts and wish them all the best for the future.”
Earlier closures and final store list
Additional closures occurred on June 10, with shops in Aberdeen, Inverness, Warrington, Basingstoke, Bracknell, and Dunfermline ceasing operations. The full list of Quiz store locations that closed this weekend includes: Arndale, Braehead, Buchanan, Cardiff, Castleford, Craigavon, Derby, Fort, Hull, Leicester, Livingston, Meadowhall, Merryhill, Metro, Newtownabbey, Northampton, Portsmouth, St. Enoch, Stirling, and Trafford.
