Primark has sent shoppers into a frenzy with its new £14 Metallic Touch Lamp, which bears a striking resemblance to a luxury brand's design. The high street retailer's offering is being compared to Safelles' Ambient Touch Light, currently priced at £65, down from £101.
Both lamps feature a sleek, slim design with a metallic finish, making them interchangeable without altering a room's overall aesthetic. Primark's version is available in bronze or white, while Safelles offers gold, black, or silver. However, the luxury model includes a dimming feature and three temperature settings, which Primark's lacks.
Primark describes its lamp as a 'modern low-lit metallic lamp with a touch on and off function,' adding that it has a built-in non-replaceable rechargeable battery and is for indoor use only. Safelles' version has garnered praise from reviewers, with one calling it 'aesthetically gorgeous and dimmable.'
Shoppers can check in-store availability for Primark's lamp on the retailer's website. Safelles is currently offering a buy two get one free deal on its website. Primark also sells a similar £14 Touch lamp in black, though it is not available for click and collect.
