Primark has released a new bookish collection including a £4.50 baseball cap that bears a strong resemblance to a £32 cap from Anthropologie. The pale blue cap, embroidered with 'Book Club' in red, is part of a range that also features a striped long-sleeve top reading 'New York Book Lovers Club'.
Affordable alternative to Anthropologie
Shoppers looking to save money have noticed the Primark cap costs just £4.50 compared to the pink Anthropologie cap with 'Books>People' at £32. Both caps are made from 100% cotton, according to Instagrammer @magicalfindsuk who shared a video of the items.
The Primark website describes the cap as having a curved peak, panelled crown, stitched eyelets, top button and red embroidered Book Club slogan, calling it "an easy accessory for everyday styling".
Other items in the collection
Alongside the cap, the collection includes a striped yellow and burgundy long-sleeve top with 'New York Book Lovers Club' on the back. An Instagram user asked about the material, and @magicalfindsuk confirmed it is 100% cotton, having checked the website.
Shoppers have expressed frustration at not being able to find the items in stores or online. One TikTok user wrote: "HOW was I in Primark literally last week, and they had none of these! And I live in a country that doesn’t have Primark, so I can’t even go again." Another commented: "I cannot be spending more money at Primark, but I’ll have to have a look today too!!"
Unconfirmed rumours of ACOTAR T-shirts
Some social media users have shared rumours that Primark is "launching two ACOTAR T-shirts soon", though this has not been confirmed. Fans of the Sarah J. Maas series are hoping the rumour proves true.
