Amazon has reduced the price of the Google Pixel 10a by £100, bringing the 128GB model down from £499 to £399. The discount runs until August 20, coinciding with the launch of the new Pixel 11 series.

Google unveiled four Pixel 11 phones on Wednesday, August 12, with the devices set to arrive on August 20. The lineup includes the flagship Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Prices for the new models start at £879 when bought outright.
As is common when new smartphones are announced, the previous generation has seen a significant price cut. The Pixel 10a, positioned as a budget-friendly option in the Pixel range, is now available at £399 on Amazon.
Pixel 10a features and specs
The Pixel 10a comes in four colours: Berry, Fog, Lavender, or Obsidian. It features a 6.3-inch Actua display with scratch and water-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass. Google states the device can run for over 30 hours on a single charge, or up to 120 hours in Extreme Battery Saver mode.
The phone is powered by Google's Tensor G4 processor and includes seven years of software and security updates, along with new features via Pixel Drops. It also supports Google Gemini AI features and has a 48MP wide and 13MP ultra-wide camera setup.
Alternative deals and expert opinion
For those preferring a contract, Mobiles.co.uk offers the Pixel 10a with free Pixel Buds 2a on iD Mobile's 200GB tariff at £14.99 per month with £149 upfront. Sky Mobile has also confirmed prices for the Pixel 11, with savings up to £937 through pre-order deals. The standard Pixel 11 starts at £25 per month with £12 upfront, and a 75GB data add-on costs £14 per month, saving £216.
Deputy Technology Editor Henry Burrell highlighted Pixel-exclusive features as strong reasons to choose the device. He said: “Pixel-exclusive features such as Call Assist with call screening, call recording, Hold for Me and audio emojis are genuinely great reasons to choose a Pixel over other Android phones.” He also noted the phone's ability to share files with iPhone via Quick Share and AirDrop, and features like Camera Coach and Auto Best Take.
However, Burrell pointed out the Pixel 10a is 'practically identical' to its predecessor, the Pixel 9a, with a similar design and colour options. He added that the seven years of software updates, taking users to early 2033, offer excellent longevity, though a battery replacement may be needed for that duration.
