Nisa store opens in Wishaw after KeyStore conversion

A new Nisa store has opened in Wishaw, Lanarkshire, after the operator of the site switched from his former fascia, KeyStore. The 2,000sq ft Caledonian Road store has had a full re-fit before re-launching as a Nisa, supplied by Co-op Wholesale.

Store Offer and Operator

Mani Anwar operates the store, which serves a residential area with everyday essentials and Co-op brand products, as well as offering food- and drink-to-go, including a Lavazza coffee station and Spud Kings baked potatoes.

Reactions from Co-op Wholesale and the Operator

Fiona Shearer, regional development manager at Co-op Wholesale, said: “This is an excellent addition to our estate and a great opportunity for Mani and the team.

“The store occupies a strong location and has all the ingredients for success, combining a modern retail offer with the convenience local shoppers are looking for.

“We look forward to supporting the team as they establish and grow the business.”

Anwar added: “Converting the store to Nisa marks an exciting new chapter for our business.

“We were looking for a wholesale partner and symbol that could help us strengthen our offer, and the combination of the Nisa brand, Co-op brand products and the support provided by the Co-op Wholesale team made it a compelling choice.

“The transition has gone smoothly, and we’re looking forward to building on the store’s existing success.”
