Pepsi enthusiasts are flocking to Home Bargains after the return of a new flavour: Pepsi Max Tropical, priced at just £1.99 per bottle. The drink, previously available in the UK in late 1994 alongside Pepsi Strawberry, has been spotted on shelves nationwide.
The tropical variant combines the classic Pepsi taste with hints of pineapple and sweet orange. An Instagram user, NewFoodsSpotterUK, shared a photo of the bottles at Home Bargains, captioning it: "NEW PEPSI MAX TROPICAL NOW IN @homebargains." The post quickly gained attention from the account's 146,000 followers.
Fans expressed excitement in the comments, with one writing: "I need to try!!!" and another saying: "ohhh interesting." On Facebook, a user suggested: "I think a trip to Home Bargains is needed soon." Another commented: "This is unreal." However, some customers were less enthusiastic, with one pleading: "Just bring back raspberry."
Pepsi Max Tropical is also available at Sainsbury's for two bottles at £3.50, according to a shopper. The original Pepsi was created in 1893 in North Carolina, USA, and reached the UK in 1953, quickly becoming a major competitor in the soft drink market.
