Convenience Store Worker Wins £200,000 Lottery Jackpot

A convenience store worker in North Carolina has won a $200,000 (£154,000) lottery jackpot after buying a ticket during her break. Nora Huntley, from Polkton, purchased a $5 5 Times Lucky ticket from the Marathon Food Center on U.S. Route 74, where she works.

“I saw a two and zero so I thought I won $20,” she said. “I was stunned.” The grandmother of 15 plans to share her winnings with her family, calling the prize a “blessing” and saying she “just got lucky.”

Huntley claimed her prize on Wednesday, taking home $143,501 after state and federal taxes. The 5 Times Lucky game launched in July with five $200,000 top prizes, and only two jackpots remain unclaimed.
