Morrisons launches luxury chocolate bars with rave reviews
Morrisons launches luxury chocolate bars, praised online

Morrisons has unveiled three indulgent new chocolate bars, with one already being hailed as a "thing of beauty" by shoppers after winning rave reviews online. The supermarket has expanded its own-brand confectionery range with three chunky, layered milk chocolate bars inspired by classic flavours – including a limited-edition option that could disappear from shelves once stocks run out.

New flavours and prices

The new range includes Jaffa Orange Milk Chocolate, Custard Cream Milk Chocolate and Peanut Butter and Jelly Milk Chocolate, with each 165g bar priced at £2. Designed as luxury chocolate bars, each features thick milk chocolate packed with layered fillings rather than simply flavoured chocolate.

The Custard Cream Milk Chocolate combines a vanilla cream filling with crunchy biscuit pieces, while the Jaffa Orange version features a gooey orange filling inspired by the classic citrus and chocolate combination. Meanwhile, the Peanut Butter and Jelly Milk Chocolate blends a creamy peanut butter layer with fruity jelly. The bar has been labelled as a limited edition, meaning shoppers may have to act fast if they want to try it.

Social media buzz

The launch has already generated a buzz on social media, with food reviewers praising the new flavours. TikTok creator Sweet Reviews UK described the Jaffa Orange bar as "a thing of beauty". "I absolutely love the geometric shapes and the chocolate is nice and shiny," they said. After trying the chocolate, they added: "This is not a jelly in my opinion, it's more like a runny jam. And to be honest, I am all for it. It's super messy, super sticky, and it oozes out. But it's tangy and sweet and works perfectly with milk chocolate. 100% my new favourite chocolate bar."

Another food reviewer, Minstrel Munches, sampled the Custard Cream bar on TikTok, describing it as "top tier" and awarding it full marks. "There's actually biscuit pieces in there," they said. "You're getting the custard cream flavour – that's a 10 out of 10. Get down to Morrisons and give it a try."

Shopper reactions and availability

Shoppers were equally enthusiastic, with one writing: "These look insane!! I really need to go have a look and try them." Another commented: "I will be smashing these," while a third added: "I really want to try the custard cream bar!"

The chocolate bars are available now in Morrisons stores and online, with shoppers able to choose from all three flavours while stocks last.
