The Executive by Escape Lounges, a new premium airport lounge concept exclusive to Manchester Airport Terminal 2, has opened just in time for the summer holidays. The lounge features what is believed to be the UK's first airport lounge carvery, along with live cooking, made-to-order dishes, barista coffee, and premium drinks. Designed for passengers seeking a refined start to their journey, the lounge includes chef-led dining and Manchester-inspired spaces.

The lounge offers floor-to-ceiling runway views, a hot buffet, and drinks all day. Decor includes works from local artists and design details inspired by Manchester's industrial heritage, textile history, innovation, and cultural pioneers. Amenities include unlimited fast private WiFi, charging ports, power outlets, and bathrooms within the lounge.

Dining Options

Guests can enjoy pastries and grazing options at Leaf & Loaf; lighter dishes and deli-style options at The Humm; and chef-led hot dishes with live cooking at The Loom, where the carvery experience is central. The Boll offers restaurant-style seated dining with table service and a chef-led menu. Local suppliers include Chorlton Cheesemongers for cheese, Ground Effect Coffee Roasters for coffee, Spirit of Manchester Distillery for Manchester Gin, JW Lees Brewery for beers, Martins Bakery for bakery products, and Grandpa Greene's for ice cream.

Statement from Management

Sarah Marshall, General Manager at The Executive by Escape Lounges, said: "We wanted to create something genuinely different. The Executive has been designed to feel special from the moment guests arrive, with hospitality, food and thoughtful details at the centre of the experience." She added: "Dining plays a huge role in how people connect, celebrate and relax before they travel, so we wanted to create a lounge where food and drink are a defining part of the experience rather than simply something that's available."
