Manchester Airport has opened a new premium lounge, The Executive by Escape Lounge, in Terminal 2 ahead of the summer holidays. The lounge, which features floor-to-ceiling runway views and all-day hot buffet and drinks, is designed for passengers seeking a more refined start to their journey. It combines chef-led dining, premium drinks, and Manchester-inspired spaces.
UK's First Airport Lounge Carvery
At the heart of the experience is what is believed to be the UK's first airport lounge carvery, alongside live cooking, made-to-order dishes, barista coffee, premium drinks, and a collection of dining spaces. Prices start from £57.99 per person for the Buffet experience, while Seated Dining is priced from £82.99 per person and will open for booking later this year, initially available exclusively to eligible airline guests. Pre-booking starts from £57.99, but the walk-in price is £69.99.
Dining and Local Suppliers
Guests can enjoy freshly baked pastries, bakery favourites, and grazing options at Leaf & Loaf; lighter dishes and deli-style options at The Humm; and chef-led hot dishes and live cooking at The Loom, where the new carvery experience takes centre stage. The Boll offers restaurant-style seated dining with table service and a chef-led menu. The food offer is supported by local suppliers including Chorlton Cheesemongers, Ground Effect Coffee Roasters, Spirit of Manchester Distillery, JW Lees Brewery, Martins Bakery, and Grandpa Greene's ice cream.
Manchester-Inspired Design and Amenities
Manchester is woven throughout the lounge, with works from local artists, design details inspired by the city's industrial heritage, textile history, innovation, and cultural pioneers. Bee-inspired details, textile references, and artwork installations are featured. Amenities include unlimited fast private WiFi, charging ports, power outlets, and bathrooms within the lounge. Before heading to their gate, guests can visit The Executive's bespoke 'One Last Treat' gumball machine, where tokens reveal locally inspired sweets, surprise rewards, and complimentary future experiences.
