Agent, a Liverpool-based integrated marketing agency, and Open Media, an out-of-home advertising specialist, have signed a joint shirt sponsorship deal with FC Community of Liverpool, a fan-owned football club being built in the city.
Joint sponsorship for inclusive football
The partnership will see both B Corps' logos feature on the club's men's home and away kits for the upcoming season, supporting its mission to make grassroots football more inclusive and accessible across the city.
FC Community of Liverpool operates a one-member, one-vote model, giving supporters an equal say in how the club is run and ensuring it remains community-owned.
Club's current and future home
The club's men's team is currently playing its home games at Marine FC's 3,000-capacity ground in Crosby, while work continues to develop its long-term home at Admiral Park in Toxteth.
Meanwhile, its women's team is widely recognised as one of the most welcoming spaces for female and LGBTQ+ footballers in the city, while its youth teams are all drawn from the L8 postcode district.
Sponsorship details
The sponsorship will feature the logos of both organisations across the club's green home and silver away kits, to be worn by the men's first team, with branding shared between the front and back of each shirt.
Sean Lindblad, chairman of FC Community of Liverpool, said: "We wanted to involve Agent and Open Media because they are both B Corps, demonstrating high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. Those values closely align with our own."
"We are building a football club that genuinely belongs to its community, and partnerships like this help us continue creating opportunities for people across the city," he added.
Paul Corcoran, CEO and founder of Agent, said: "Community engagement is at the core of everything we do at Agent and this is a great way to help give something back to such a wide variety of the city's population."
"The inclusion that arises from grassroots football is fantastic and by sponsoring FC Community of Liverpool we hope that we can help the club provide opportunities to those who otherwise might not necessarily have access to them," he added.
Mike Smith, founder and CEO at Open Media, commented: "Strong communities thrive when local organisations work together, and that's exactly what this partnership represents."
"We're delighted to be joining Agent in helping shine a spotlight on a club that's creating opportunities both on and off the pitch. We hope this sponsorship helps the club continue building on the fantastic work it is already doing across the city," he said.
