Lidl shoppers can pick up a large scented candle that resembles a luxury version costing up to £100 more, as the supermarket's latest homeware sale arrives in UK stores.
The Jasmine, Wild Orchid and Soft Musk XL Confetti Murano Candle goes on sale from Thursday, October 15. Weighing 2kg, the £24.99 candle comes in a large patterned glass jar with an estimated burn time of 129 hours - roughly 5.4 full days.
Design Similar to Premium Brand
The candle's jar looks almost identical to the Baobab Black Pearls Jar Scented Candle from John Lewis, which sells for £125 for a 1kg version. Both feature a similar speckled pattern on the outside, although the scents differ - the Baobab version blends notes of ginger and black rose.
Describing the luxury version online, John Lewis said: "In a transparent hand-blown glass with black details, the Black Pearls scented candle is as precious as the black pearls from which it draws its name. It is a magnificent decorative object with an iconic perfume."
Alternative Options and Availability
Shoppers who prefer a different scent can choose the Tonka, Vanilla Bean and Amber Sugar version, also priced at £24.99. It features a similar pattern but swaps the black and white design for honey yellow glass.
Shoppers keen to buy the Lidl version should aim to get to stores on release day, as special items often sell out quickly and are rarely restocked once they do.

The same week, Lidl's Middle of Lidl offers new specials, including a pet event, kitchen equipment, plants and outdoor hiking gear from Thursday. Before that, on Sunday, October 11, the supermarket refreshes its options with a budget-friendly blender that looks and performs similarly to a pricier Ninja product.
The Silvercrest Premium Jug Blender costs £59.99, or £49.99 for shoppers who scan the Lidl Plus app at the till.
