Lidl has confirmed the return of its popular £5 school uniform bundle to all UK stores from Thursday, June 25. The budget supermarket is bringing back the major sale for the fifth consecutive year, helping families prepare for the upcoming school term at an affordable price.
What is included in the £5 bundle?
The £5 bundle includes a two-pack of polos, a sweatshirt, and a choice of skirt, shorts, or trousers. This allows parents to stock up on essential uniform basics without breaking the bank. Lidl's wider uniform range offers individual items starting at just £1.50, available in sizes four to 12 years.

Durable and practical design
Lidl says the uniforms are designed to withstand the rigours of school life. Features include water-repellent skirts, shorts, and trousers to handle outdoor adventures. All items are machine washable and tumble dryer safe, making laundry easy for parents.
Where to find the uniforms
The uniform items will be located in the Middle of Lidl aisles, alongside other back-to-school deals such as lunchboxes, drink bottles, and stationery.
New legislation to cap branded uniform items
From September, schools will be required by law to limit the number of branded uniform items to three (excluding ties) under the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill. This is expected to save parents up to £50 per child. Additionally, half a million more children will become eligible for free school meals, and over 2,000 free breakfast clubs will be open by September, helping families manage costs.
The average school uniform currently costs around £340 for primary school and £454 for secondary school each year, including compulsory branded items, generic clothing, PE kits, and shoes.
