KFC has launched a new menu featuring the return of a classic favourite and a brand-new creation. After a decade away, the Supercharger Sub returned to stores on Monday, May 18. Alongside it, the Garlic Parmesan Sub and Garlic Parmesan Loaded Fries have joined the menu exclusively until June 14.
A Garlic and Cheese Lover's Dream
For those who adore garlicky, cheesy flavours, the Garlic Parmesan Sub is a must-try. Priced at £6.49 for the burger alone, it can also be purchased as part of a meal for £7.99 or in a box meal with hot wings, chips, and a second side for £9.99. Note that ordering via apps like Deliveroo or Uber Eats will increase the price.
The sub arrived larger than expected, featuring a soft seeded bun, two decent-sized mini fillets, lettuce, American cheese, and the standout garlic parmesan sauce. The sauce, with a mayo-like consistency, emitted a strong garlic aroma upon opening the bag.
Flavour Profile
The first bite revealed more parmesan than garlic, offering a tangy, cheesy taste that encouraged another bite. The crispy chicken and cheese paired perfectly, balanced by the soft bun and crunchy lettuce. It is arguably one of KFC's best products to date.
Value for Money Comparison
Despite the enjoyable experience, value for money remains a concern. Subway offers a much larger sandwich with customisable toppings, sauces, and salads, leaving you fully satisfied. A foot-long sub can be as little as £7.99, making it unbeatable for lunch on the go. While Subway lacks fried chicken, for traditional KFC chicken, this sub is highly recommended and worth trying before it disappears on June 14.
