The retro Fisher Price Little Snoopy Pull Along Toy, featured as Pickles the Dog in the 2026 John Lewis Christmas advert, is available to buy for £12.99 on Amazon, with next day delivery for Prime members.
The advert stars Slow Horses actress Dame Kristin Scott Thomas as grandmother Gloria, who is searching for the perfect Christmas gift for her grandchildren. Gloria is joined by Pickles, a vintage toy voiced by comedian Paul Whitehouse.
Little Snoopy's retro return
Originally launched in 1968, Little Snoopy wobbled, wagged and yipped its way into the hearts of children and parents. Shoppers can pull the cord to watch the toy wobble around and swing its ears, while making a "yip-yip" sound as it moves.
The toy is available through both the John Lewis website and Amazon. Fisher Price has brought it back with an "iconic retro design", updated packaging and original charm. It is designed to encourage early walkers as toddlers pull Little Snoopy along, watching its ears flap and wiggle.
Encouraging play and nostalgia
The toy is also designed to encourage pretend play, as children enjoy walking their own toy dog on adventures around the house. Amazon describes the toy as "perfect for small hands" thanks to its lightweight and easy-to-pull design.
During the advert, Gloria decides against giving out envelopes of cash, and she and Pickles head to a John Lewis branch. On Christmas Day, Gloria presents her grandchildren with a key to a room transformed into a "Gran Cave", complete with sparkling lights, disco balls and a record player.
The children, Freddie (played by EastEnders actor Jahsaiah Williams) and sister Maggie, give their grandmother a hug before the advert ends with them dancing together in the makeshift den.
