Jigsaw Returns to Glasgow Six Years After Closure

Fashion retailer Jigsaw has confirmed it will return to Glasgow with a new boutique in Princes Square by M on Buchanan Street, six years after closing its only city store during the Covid-19 pandemic. The store is set to open on Saturday, July 18, on the ground floor of the busy shopping centre.

Brand History and Previous Closure

Founded in 1970 by John Robinson, Jigsaw is a British brand known for womenswear, with menswear introduced in 1994. It operates over 40 stores across the UK and once counted the Princess of Wales as an employee in 2006. The retailer's former Glasgow branch at 177 Ingram Street was one of 13 stores closed in 2020, leaving only one Scottish store on George Street in Edinburgh.

New Boutique Details

The upcoming Princes Square boutique will offer Jigsaw's "signature style, timeless design and beautifully crafted collections," including new-season arrivals, everyday wardrobe pieces, and standout statement styles. The shopping centre announced the return, stating Jigsaw is "back where it belongs."
