Primark has opened its first ever store dedicated entirely to homeware, a sprawling 11,900 sq ft space in Manchester's Trafford Palazzo. The new outlet offers a wide range of budget-friendly items, from kitchenware to furniture, alongside designer lookalikes at a fraction of the price.
Shoppers can find kitchen accessories such as goblet glasses for £5, patterned mugs from £3.50, and ceramic plates and bowls starting at £3.50. A pumpkin-shaped butter dish, part of the autumn collection, resembles a Le Creuset design but costs just £6. Elsewhere, a dupe of the viral Owala water bottle, which sells for up to £40 elsewhere, is available for £6.
The store also ventures into flat-pack furniture, potentially rivalling Ikea. Items include a leather-look PU living chair for £90, a shelving unit for £60, and a cream boucle dining chair for £45. A dedicated 'Back to Uni' section caters to students on a budget.
Upstairs, the entire mezzanine is a travel shop, offering suitcases from £12 to £55, a travel speaker for £8, and even a bracelet that can charge a phone for £3.50. The autumn harvest collection, featuring pumpkin cushions for £5 to £10, is expected to be popular.
Primark has also introduced its 'Primark Home Edit' luxury line, reminiscent of The White Company but priced from just £5. For those unable to visit Manchester, the range is available via click and collect at all 187 Primark stores in Britain.
