Iceland Launches 3 for £10 Frozen Chicken Mega Deal Event

Iceland Foods has introduced a Mega Deal Event across its frozen heroes section, offering a mix and match of three chicken products for £10. The promotion covers a variety of easy-to-cook options, allowing shoppers to stock up their freezers at a lower cost while catering to different tastes within the household.

Among the items available, the Sweet Chilli Sauce Chicken Thigh Bites are a family favourite, priced at £3.34 each under the deal. They can be cooked from frozen in 14 minutes in an air fryer or 25 minutes in an oven. For those avoiding spice, the Breaded Chicken Schnitzels come in packs of four, working out at 84 pence each. Other options include Cheese Tang Crunchy Coated Chicken Strips, Tikka Chicken Skewers, Southern Fried Chicken Fries, and Cheese and Ham Chicken Cordon Bleu. The Breaded Chicken Smileys Burgers, in packs of 10, cost just 33 pence per burger.

Customer feedback highlights favourites like the Cajun Chicken Skewers, with one shopper noting they are 'so succulent and plenty of meat' and another ordering three more packets. However, some found them 'very spicy'. The Sweet & Sour Sauce Chicken Thigh Bites are popular as a healthier 'fake-away', though some wished the sauce was stickier.

The deal runs until Monday, September 29, and Iceland notes that Sheffield Hallam University research suggests switching to frozen food can cut household food bills by up to £250 a year. Meanwhile, Tesco Clubcard holders can get four frozen products for £5, including Birds Eye items, and Morrisons offers a similar deal.

Iceland, named the UK's Best Online Supermarket by Which? in 2022, offers free next-day delivery on orders over £40 and same-day delivery from £2. While some customers praise the service and prices, others have noted the use of plastic bags for deliveries, though the free delivery remains a strong draw.
