The debate began after Daniel Chubb shared photos of the cake in the official Snack Reviews Facebook group, writing: "Looks like I’m having a birthday today. And tomorrow. And probably Wednesday too." Some commenters were unaware that Home Bargains even sells cakes, while others shared mixed opinions on the taste.
One shopper said: "It's surprisingly nice, my toddler decided her daddy was going to have it for his birthday so I had to buy it!" Another added: "I thought it would be c***, but I loved it and have bought it a few times since." However, critics were less impressed, with one claiming it "tasted like shaving foam" and another stating: "Cakes are something I don't mess with. The cheap ones are never good!"
