Home Bargains is offering a budget-friendly way to add “modern appeal” to walls: the Noise Reduction Decorative Wall Panels, priced at £10 for a pack of four. Each panel measures 30cm by 60cm, making the set a cost-effective upgrade for bedrooms or living rooms.
What the panels offer
Described online as “simple decorative wall panels,” they are crafted from a wood and plastic composite for “effective noise reduction and modern appeal.” The retailer says the panels make it easy to transform a room, and they can be installed in a single decorating session using strong-grab adhesive, screws, or a combination of both.
Because the panels are relatively small and lightweight, Home Bargains suggests that a high-quality grab adhesive is likely the easiest way to achieve a clean finish without visible screw heads. For slightly uneven walls, screws may provide a safer fix to prevent panels from falling off.
Installation tips
Using a spirit level and pencil can help draw a straight guideline for the first row. If a panel needs shortening, lay it front-facing down and use a fine-toothed handsaw to cut through the slats, plus a utility knife for the backing material. Placing masking tape over the cut line can prevent the wood-plastic composite from splintering.
For glue-only installation, experts suggest applying adhesive across the entire panel in a zigzag pattern rather than just the edges, to provide maximum support and prevent trapped air from forming between panels.
Availability and delivery
The panels are available in stores across the UK and online. For UK mainland customers, delivery typically takes within four days of placing an order. Most items available in stores can also be bought online for home delivery.
This offer may appeal to shoppers who missed out on B&M's previous sell-out wall panels, which were also £10 each in stores and quickly sold out in January and June when released.
