A brand new clothing store has opened its doors in the North East, bringing a fresh shopping experience to the region. Hollister, a division of Abercrombie & Fitch Co, has officially launched at the MetroCentre in Gateshead, offering a wide range of quality apparel, accessories, and fragrances for the first time in the area.
Store Opening Details
The arrival of Hollister at the MetroCentre was first announced in January, and the store is now open in the Red Mall, the shopping centre’s fashion hub. Customers can browse everyday essentials such as denim, hoodies, sweatshirts, and t-shirts, as well as new collection drops, limited-edition collaborations, and vintage-inspired graphics. The store also features swimwear, activewear, sleepwear, accessories, footwear, and Hollister’s signature fragrance lines.
Management Comments
Ben Cox, Director at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, the asset managers of MetroCentre, expressed enthusiasm about the new addition. He said: “Maintaining MetroCentre’s reputation as the go-to retail destination in the North East relies on catering for all styles, tastes, and budgets, and the arrival of global fashion brand Hollister expands the appeal of our premium line-up even further.”
Cox added: “Blending the latest trends and elevated basics with inclusive sizing, quality, and affordable prices, Hollister is the perfect complement to an increasingly dynamic retail mix that includes Zara, Mango, Urban Outfitters, and Stradivarius – and, opening in coming months, Bershka and Lefties.”
