Greggs Festive Bake smashes single-day sales record on 2026 launch
Greggs Festive Bake smashes single-day sales record

Greggs has confirmed that its Festive Bake achieved its highest-ever single-day sales on the first day of its 2026 launch, which took place on Thursday, two weeks earlier than in any previous year.

The popular seasonal item went on sale nationwide on the earliest date in its 17-year history, with customers buying more Festive Bakes in one day than at any point since it was first introduced, the company said.

Record-breaking start

Greggs moved the launch forward by two weeks, confident that "Brits were ready to get their Christmas food fix earlier than ever," and the record-breaking opening day appears to have justified that decision. The company now believes the strong start puts it on track to sell more Festive Bakes than in any previous year.

Zoe Harris, customer director at Greggs, said: "We know the Festive Bake has a huge following, but this launch has been something else. We brought it back two weeks earlier than ever before because we know people are ready to start feeling festive sooner and in just 24 hours, they proved us right."

"To see the biggest day of Festive Bake sales ever is incredible. This record-breaking start means it could be our biggest Festive Bake season yet. Christmas has definitely come early for Greggs fans."

2026 Festive Bake ingredients

Tweaked for 2026, the Festive Bake combines chicken, smoked ham hock, sweetcure bacon, creamy soft cheese and spiced pork stuffing in a rich sage and cranberry sauce. It is encased in golden-glazed puff pastry and topped with a crisp crumb finish, which Greggs said "flakes all down your top."

The seasonal range also includes the Pigs Under Blankets Toastie, Pepperoni Pizza with Hot Honey, Festive Feast Baguette, Festive Flatbread and Sweet Mince Pie Roll, alongside three new sweet treats and a selection of seasonal beverages.

Availability and ordering

Greggs confirmed that all items from the new festive menu are now on sale in stores across the country. Shoppers can order their seasonal favourites via Click + Collect through the Greggs App, or have the full spread delivered through Just Eat and Uber Eats.
