Fashion Thrift Society, billed as the world's biggest fashion market, will open its doors in Edinburgh for the first time on Saturday, August 15. The event takes place at Meadowbank Sports Centre on London Road from 11am to 5pm.
Free Services and Vintage Finds
Ideal for bargain hunters and those looking to reduce fashion waste, the full-day event brings together second-hand vintage items and accessories. Ticket holders can also enjoy free services on a first-come, first-served basis, including photo-booth snaps, barber cuts, nail manicures and nail art, permanent tattoos, henna body art, and hairdresser styling and cuts.
The market will feature curated stalls of vintage, preloved, designer, and local small businesses, alongside second-hand treasures and new products from independent brands.
Food, Drinks, and Entertainment
Shoppers can grab a bite from local food trucks and enjoy a drink at the pop-up bar, with a DJ playing throughout the day.
Tickets must be purchased in advance, with prices varying by time slot. The event advises arriving earlier to guarantee freebies. Free entry is available during the final hour, from 4pm to 5pm.

Ticket prices are as follows: £8 for entry at 11am, £6 for 1pm, £5 for 2pm, £4 for 3pm, and free entry from 4pm until close. Students, kids aged 7-11, seniors, and pension card holders pay £5 for the day regardless of entry time. Kids under seven enter free.
