Expert reveals worst days to shop at Aldi and Lidl

Shopping expert Jordon Cox, known as Couponkiduk on Instagram, has advised shoppers to avoid Aldi and Lidl on Wednesdays and Saturdays, as these are the days when middle aisle stock is likely to be depleted.

In a video titled "worst days to shop at Aldi and Lidl," Cox explained that the best days to visit are Thursdays and Sundays, when the middle aisles are restocked with new items. He said: "Do not shop at Aldi and Lidl on these days, but first, the best days: Thursdays and Sundays. Why? Because those are the days middle aisles are restocked with items. That means you should never shop on a Wednesday or Saturday because all the good stuff is likely gone."

Middle Aisle Restock Days

Going into more detail, he explained: "The best days to head shopping is either a Thursday or Sunday. That’s because the Middle of Lidl & Aldi Specialbuys are always launched on these days."

"You’ll have first dibs at the best discounts and limited-time items if you go then. Some Specialbuys only have a few items of stock per store - so they fly! Which means… If you head in on a Wednesday or Saturday - forget it. Most of the good stuff is gone. Hopefully this helps you grab a bargain!"

Shoppers React

While many agreed with the logic, some did not want to shop on the recommended days. "Never go on a Saturday or Sunday. They are full of people. Ewwww," said one person.

"I'll shop on Wednesday and Saturday when I'm trying to save money then," said another, while another said: "Yeah I’m going to avoid those days like the plague I enjoy having money in my bank account."

One shopper said: "Not necessarily so. I’ve found when things sell out they often put more out days later!" One person claiming to work at Aldi said: "I work at Aldi and this is sometimes a good day to look as they get us to mark down left over specials on the last day to dirt cheap before they get signed off to charity... I got a parasol for 1.99 once .. sometimes worth a gander."
