Eldon Square's Student Takeover returns on Monday, September 28, offering students discounts of up to 50%, free food, live entertainment, and hundreds of prizes. The free event, running from 2.30pm to 7.30pm, is open to freshers and returning students with a valid student ID.

Deals and freebies on offer

Participating brands include Smash Burger and Chit N Chaat with 50% off, Chaophraya at 40% off, Levi's at 25% off, and Schuh, Hollister, and River Island at 20% off. Free Wingstop chicken, Greggs vouchers, matcha, popcorn, and candy floss will be available while stocks last.

Games and prize draw

Visitors can play games like Crack the Safe and Spin the Wheel, with prizes including a £100 Eldon Square Gift Card. Students who register for a free e-ticket before midnight on September 28 and attend the event are entered into a prize draw for a £500 Eldon Square Gift Card.

Jet2, the main sponsor, is partnering with Newcastle Airport to offer exclusive merchandise and highlight why "nothing beats" Jet2.

How to take part

Students must register for a free e-ticket and show both their ticket and valid student ID to redeem offers. Individual retailer terms apply.
