Clarks launches 'comfiest ever' office-ready trainers

Clarks has introduced a new pair of trainers that are smart enough for office wear, eliminating the need to switch shoes after commuting. The Code C Lace trainers are made from premium leather with a durable, flexible sole, combining style and comfort.

Price and availability

The Code C Lace trainers in black cost £85 and are available in sizes three to eight, including half sizes, in both D (standard) and E (wide) widths. Alongside black, shoppers can choose from navy, pale green, light pink, pewter metallic, and white colourways, all priced at £85.

Design and comfort features

The trainers feature Clarks' most advanced dual-layer comfort technology, with cushioning that absorbs impacts and returns energy. A lightweight Strobel construction allows for flexible, full-range motion, and a 35mm heel height provides underfoot cushioning while remaining easy to walk in.

Alternative options

Marks and Spencer offers the Leather Side Detail Trainers at £49.50, featuring a regular fit, lace-up fastening, and Freshfeet technology to minimise odour. The Dash FF T-Toe Leather/Suede Trainers are available for £80.75 instead of £95 with the discount code 'WELCOME' at checkout, offering an ultra-lightweight, high-rebound cushioning system and Scotchgard protection.

The Code C Lace trainers are new to the market and have not yet received shopper reviews. As they are made from leather, those preferring synthetic materials may want to consider other options.
