Boots cuts Oral-B iO3 toothbrush from £160 to £55

Boots has cut the price of the Oral-B iO3 Electric Toothbrush Christmas Edition from £160 to £55, applying a double discount ahead of Christmas. The retailer first reduced the gadget to £65 and then knocked a further £10 off, bringing the total saving to £105.

A premium clean at a lower price

The iO3 model features Oral-B's most advanced cleaning technology, combining gentle micro-vibrations with a dentist-inspired round brush head. It offers three cleaning modes: sensitive, daily clean and whitening, and is designed to deliver a professional, purifying clean each day.

The toothbrush includes a 360-degree Visible Gum Pressure sensor that monitors brushing habits and provides real-time feedback on whether the user is pressing too hard, too softly, or with the right amount of pressure. A built-in two-minute timer alerts the user every thirty seconds to move to the next quadrant of the mouth.

Shopper feedback on the iO3

The iO3 Electric Toothbrush Christmas Edition holds an overall star-rating of 4.7 out of five based on almost 70 reviews at Boots. One shopper said: "My teeth are the cleanest they’ve ever been, really good for plaque. Fresh breath. This is everything you want in a toothbrush."

Another wrote: "The IO3 toothbrush by Oral-B is a great toothbrush for ensuring your teeth are clean everyday. I use it and love the feature where it tells you where it is brushing just right, too light or too harsh." A third added: "This toothbrush has exceeded my expectations... Most of all, my teeth feel so clean."

Some reviewers noted drawbacks, including the lack of a plug adapter and unclear battery indicators. One shopper commented: "The only downside is that there isn't a plug adapter as with other brushes. It's a round, two pin plug so you need to buy one." Another said: "My only bugbear is that it doesn’t indicate clearly when the battery is running out. It literally just stops working."
