Sudden Closure Announced on Social Media
Owners announced the closure via a social media post on Sunday afternoon, June 28, stating that Monday would be the last day of trading. No specific reason was given for the decision. The post read: "Dear highly valued customers, just wanted [to] share this information with you. Mangrove will be permanently closed from Monday 29th June 2026. Thank you all for supporting us throughout the years. Will surely miss you all."
Restaurant's Reputation and Offerings
The Mangrove was known for using fresh herbs and spices from around the world, serving a high standard of Indian cuisine with a 'buzzing atmosphere'. Its menu featured traditional curries, grilled meats, tandoori specialities, and masallas, with signature dishes like Butter Chicken, Murgh Tanger, Balti Exotica, and Mangrove Chicken. The restaurant also hosted live entertainment, including Michael Jackson tribute acts and Bollywood dancers, and offered special Christmas curries.
