The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued urgent recalls for several popular snack items sold in UK supermarkets, including a frozen croissant product that may contain pieces of metal and fruit packs contaminated with Salmonella. Consumers are urged not to consume the affected goods and to return them for a full refund.
Ferrero Frozen Nutella Croissant Recall Due to Metal Fragments
Ferrero has recalled its Frozen Nutella Croissants after tests revealed the possible presence of metal fragments. The product was sold in Lidl stores across the UK and has also been withdrawn in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, Hungary, and Romania for the same reason.
The affected batches are: pack size 4 per pack, batch codes L126Z39 (best before 06 May 2027) and L127Z39 (best before 07 May 2027). Ferrero stated: "Ferrero announces the recall of specific batches of its frozen bakery products Nutella Croissant and Nutella Muffin in Europe due to the risk that some products may contain metal fragments." They added that no other Ferrero products are affected.
Morrisons Maple & Bacon Snack Withdrawn Over Undeclared Milk
Morrisons has withdrawn its Maple & Bacon Back of the Net sharing snack (140g, best before 22 August 2026) because certain packs may contain milk not declared on the label, posing a risk to those with milk allergy or intolerance. The company advised: "Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We don't need a receipt."
Icesupp Frozen Desserts Recalled Due to Packaging Fault
Icesupp has recalled its Mango & Passionfruit and Mixed Berries frozen desserts (86ml/100g packs) due to a packaging fault that could cause microbiological contamination. The products, sold in community pharmacies, have best before dates of July 2027 (Mango & Passionfruit) and May 2027 or October 2027 (Mixed Berries). The company said point-of-sale notices will be displayed in retail stores.
Morrisons Coronation Chicken Pasta Contains Undeclared Milk
Morrisons is recalling its Coronation Chicken Pasta (230g, batch GBB 584 031, use by 30 June 2026) because it may contain Florida Salad with undeclared milk. The FSA advises consumers with milk allergy or intolerance to avoid the product and return it for a refund.
Prepworld Fruit Packs Contaminated with Salmonella
Several Prepworld fruit products have been recalled after Salmonella was detected on apples and kiwis. The affected items were sold in major supermarkets including Morrisons, Tesco, Asda, Waitrose, M&S, and Sainsbury's. Specific products include:

The FSA warned: "The possible presence of Salmonella in the products listed above. Symptoms caused by Salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps." Consumers experiencing symptoms should stay away from work, school, or nursery until symptom-free for at least 48 hours.
