Bodycare, the beauty chain that entered administration in September 2024, has announced it is reopening 17 stores across the UK, including one in Wales. The first store will open in Sheffield in July 2026.
Background and Administration
The chain, founded in 1970 in Lancashire, closed all 147 of its shops last year, resulting in the loss of over 1,000 jobs. It offered beauty products, fragrances, and bathroom essentials in shopping centres and high streets nationwide.
Reopening Announcement
On its website, Bodycare declared: "We're so back. New look. New names. Same 'wait what?!' prices." The new stores will feature professional piercing studios and free-to-use "in-store content creator studios." The company stated: "17 stores already announced. More on the way."
