Babylon Park, described as London's first-ever indoor theme park, is a 35,000 square foot adult playground hidden underground in Camden, North London. The venue, which calls itself London's 'best-kept secret,' is so under the radar that most Londoners haven't heard of it.
Rides and attractions at Babylon Park
The park spans two floors of rides, including arcade games, bumper cars, an indoor rollercoaster, a drop tower, and a soft play area. While summer holiday core hours are likely to be packed with children, the venue stays open until 9pm on weekdays and Sundays, and 10pm on Saturdays.
There is no minimum age requirement, but a height restriction applies to both the drop tower and the rollercoaster. A ticket gives unlimited access to all attractions.
Visitor experiences and reviews
On TikTok, @serenalevart described it as the 'coolest arcade' in the city after visiting with friends, while @keepingupwithchels said she took her kids but went on the same rides with her adult friends. A website review by Kevane H praised 'thrilling games, fun attractions, and a vibrant atmosphere,' adding: 'Clean and safe environment, combined with friendly staff, makes it an unforgettable experience. Perfect for relaxing on weekends.'
Aminat M added: 'Amazing place for both kids and adults, especially during cold weather. I had to get my lil one candy floss to get her out of there.' However, not all feedback has been positive. On Tripadvisor, user @gorgeousgirl called it 'highly overrated,' writing: 'The only positive was that the staff were polite and helpful. It cost me £60 for one hour for myself and an 11-year-old.' Daniel M advised people to go to 'an amusement park or the seaside instead,' noting: 'There's not really that much there: the rollercoaster, the skydrop, [and the] bumper cars which just seemed to do circles.'
Pricing and location details
An hour and a half costs £26.25, while a group of four pays £24.06 each. Unlimited access for three hours costs £43.75, and three hours of soft play only is £8.75. The venue is located at 8 Castlehaven Road, NW1 8QU, an eight-minute walk from Camden Road Station.
Other adult entertainment options
Elsewhere, a new 'Mega City' complex has opened just outside the city in Slough, Berkshire, about 40 minutes from Central London on the Elizabeth Line. With more than 100 arcade machines, a giant laser tag arena, and countless karaoke rooms, the 55,000-square-foot playground spans three floors and two mezzanine levels. It has been touted as the 'pinnacle' of the town's 'regeneration,' aiming to bring more footfall to the centre since its opening on June 30.
Alternatively, Roof East in Stratford offers a sprawling playground on the top floor of a multi-storey car park, featuring games, an open-air cinema, street food vendors, free DJ sets, and deck chairs. Entry is free.
