Aldi is bringing back its popular range of heated airers, which the supermarket says 'makes winter laundry that bit easier'. The energy-efficient devices will hit stores from Sunday, October 26, offering households a quick way to dry laundry.
Aldi spokesperson said: 'Winter is officially approaching, and with it comes the age-old battle against endless damp laundry. But Aldi is coming to save the day (and your energy bills) with the highly anticipated return of their sell-out heated airers.' They added that shoppers need to act quickly as these Specialbuys are limited.
Two options are available: the Winged Heated Airer at £34.99 and the Upright Heated Airer at £79.99. The Winged model boasts a large drying surface, foldable wings, and a 1.4m cable. Aldi claims it offers a 50% saving compared to Lakeland's similar product costing £69.99, meaning a £35 saving.
The Upright Heated Airer provides a foldable, compact solution with mesh shelves and a peg hanger. Aldi says it undercuts Dunelm's 3-tier heated airer by £20. Both airers include a cover to retain warmth and are designed to dry clothes, sheets, and towels efficiently during winter.
Heated airers use less electricity than tumble dryers, making them more energy-efficient for small to medium loads. However, for large households, a heat-pump tumble dryer may be more economical. The airers are available in Aldi stores from October 26 while stocks last.
