Aldi has lowered the price of more than 300 products as part of a £100 million investment aimed at helping shoppers keep grocery costs down this summer. The reductions cover a wide range of everyday items, including fresh and frozen food, cupboard staples, household products and personal care essentials.
Biggest savings on steak and fruit
Among the largest discounts are selected British steaks. Aldi's 21-Day Matured Sirloin Steak is now priced at £4.49, down by 80p, while its 21-Day Matured Ribeye Steak has fallen to £4.59. Fruit and vegetables are also included, with shoppers saving 40p on a four-pack of nectarines and 22p on honeydew melons.
Elsewhere, Aldi has reduced the price of its Specially Selected Cheddar cheeses (350g) to £2.99, while Diced Chicken Breast (600g) now costs £3.99 and Filled Pasta has dropped to £2.19. The supermarket has also cut the cost of its Lacura SPF50+ Sensitive Lotion from £3.29 to £2.99.
£300 million invested in price cuts this year
The latest reductions mean Aldi has lowered the price of more than 1,000 products so far in 2026, with the retailer investing a total of £300 million in price cuts during the year.
Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said: “It’s never been more important that everyday grocery essentials and family favourites remain affordable.” She added: “We’re committed to keeping prices low on popular products because we know it can make a real difference, helping families to make the most of the summer.”
The announcement comes as many families prepare for the school holidays, with Aldi saying it wants to make everyday shopping more affordable during the busy summer period.
