Aldi is launching a new range of winter homeware in UK stores from Thursday, October 15, featuring a shaggy rug priced at £29.99 that aims to add warmth to floors.
The Kirkton House Luxury Shaggy Rug is available in beige, grey and cream options, measuring 120 x 170cm. Aldi describes it online as a way to "sink your feet into irresistible softness" and notes it is "designed to add warmth, texture and comfort to any room, it's the perfect finishing touch for a cosy and inviting home."
Rug Pricing Compared to Rivals
The 100% polyester rug will be sold in all UK stores, though stock is expected to be limited. A similar product, Dunelm's Slumber Shaggy Rug, is priced at £69 in the same size but offers more colour choices.
Dunelm's description states: "A perfect choice for adding softness and comfort to your home. With its deep pile and plush shaggy texture, this soft rug brings a cosy, relaxed look to living rooms, bedrooms and snug spaces."
Other Offers in Aldi's Middle Aisle
The winter homeware range also includes doormats, bedding, storage, winter-themed fragrances and fireworks. Separately, Aldi's Wooden Toy Event returned on October 8, with more than 50 toys starting from £3.99, and the supermarket is capping purchases of certain items due to demand.
Ahead of that sale, Aldi bosses advised shoppers not to wait past launch day "to avoid disappointment," as local stores often sell out of items soon after they arrive on shelves.
