An urban explorer has uncovered a derelict McDonald's restaurant that appears to have been untouched since its closure in the 1980s. The site, located in the United States, retains original fixtures including the counter, refrigerators, and shelves, as well as vintage drinks machines and obsolete television sets.
The explorer, known online as Triangle Of Mass, shared footage of the interior, which features pink and blue seating and a pristine hot chocolate machine bearing the slogan 'Always fresh, always here'. The video has garnered over 629,000 views and 116,000 likes on social media.
Speaking about the discovery, Triangle Of Mass said: 'Inside was insane just to think all that's left there over the years collecting dust. To think people used to work there and eat there and the memories shared here at this McDonald's once is just crazy to me!'
Viewers expressed nostalgia for the retro decor, with many recalling the design from their youth. One commented: 'I remember when the dining area looked like that!' Another added: 'The little TVs! This is amazing I remember this.' Some lamented that modern McDonald's outlets no longer maintain the original styling.
