Marks & Spencer has launched its highly anticipated beauty advent calendar, designed by fashion designer Bella Freud, for £60. The calendar, which contains products worth over £330, is available in stores and online from today, October 8. Customers must spend £35 across the retailer's fashion, home, and beauty ranges to purchase it.
The 25-day calendar features brands such as Estée Lauder, Clinique, Benefit, and Color Wow, including eight full-sized items. Highlights include a 7ml Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum, a 7ml Clinique High Impact Mascara, and a 6ml Benefit Benetint. The calendar also contains products from Cowshed, Stila, and L'Occitane.
One shopper praised the calendar's variety and value for money, calling it 'by far the best value for money' compared to other beauty advents. Beauty writer Jessica Brunt noted the packaging is 'stunning and feels premium', though she pointed out that the two-layer arrangement may affect the tidy appearance after several openings.
The calendar is priced significantly lower than many high street counterparts. For comparison, the Fortnum and Mason Beauty Advent Calendar costs £265 but is valued at £1,149, while the OK! Beauty Advent Calendar by Hannah Martin sells for £99 with a value of over £600.
