Sydney's Pilates Queen Sells Double Bay Home in Multi-Million Property Move
Pilates Queen Bernadette Sukkar Sells Luxury Sydney Home

Prominent pilates instructor Bernadette Sukkar and her husband, businessman Jordan Sukkar, have successfully sold their lavish four-bedroom home in Sydney's exclusive eastern suburbs. The property, located in the prestigious Double Bay area, changed hands for an undisclosed sum on November 24.

A Prime Property in Coveted Double Bay

The transaction concludes months of anticipation after the vintage terrace was initially scheduled for auction in September with a price guide between $5 million and $5.5 million. According to The Wentworth Courier, the final sale price remains unconfirmed by the selling agents. Jordan Sukkar had originally purchased the property in 2021 for $5 million.

Situated just 5km from Sydney's CBD, the home occupies one of the city's most sought-after neighbourhoods, mere minutes from the iconic harbour. The residence masterfully blends classic architectural charm with contemporary living, featuring high ornate ceilings and an open-plan living area with stylish café-style bi-fold windows.

Character and Modern Luxury Combined

The property retains numerous original features that enhance its character, including an elegant iron lace front balcony and intricate decorative finishings. Residents can enjoy a private front patio set back from the main street, alongside a backyard garden described as a 'sanctuary' and a private courtyard.

Inside, the home offers a formal dining room, a modern kitchen, and a luxurious bathroom complete with a standalone tub. Speaking to the Wentworth Courier back in September, listing agent Alex Lyons from Raine and Horne Double Bay highlighted the property's significant potential.

"The house is perfectly liveable as it is, but they had planned to open it up a bit to create more space," Lyons remarked. He added that if a buyer proceeded with such renovation plans, the completed property could potentially reach over $10 million in value.

Newlyweds Embark on Upsizing Journey

The sale marks a significant milestone for the couple, who tied the knot in November 2024 at Scots College in the upmarket suburb of Bellevue Hill. Following their star-studded wedding, which featured Bernadette in a stunning Steven Khalil gown, the newlyweds enjoyed an extended honeymoon.

Their post-wedding travels included Hamilton Island before jetting off to Europe for a lavish ski holiday through French and Italian resorts, estimated to have cost approximately $100,000. With their Double Bay chapter closed, the Sukkars have confirmed they now plan to upsize to a new property.
