A stunning Mediterranean-inspired mansion in the Gold Coast Hinterland, once dubbed a 'forever home' by social media influencer Ellie Watson, has found new owners in model Isabelle Mathers and her partner Harri Musumeci.
A Serene Sanctuary Secured
The couple, who have been in a relationship since 2019, confirmed their acquisition of the sprawling property known as The Valle Casa last week. Spanning an impressive 5,404 square metres in the sought-after Currumbin Valley, the purchase marks a significant move for the pair. While the final sale price remains confidential, with both parties preferring not to be 'showy', real estate agent Christina James of Amir Prestige confirmed the deal achieved 'a top price for Currumbin Valley'.
For Isabelle, 26, and Harri, 27, it was an instant connection. They described experiencing 'an immediate sense of peace' upon entering the home, with Isabelle recalling a pivotal moment. 'We both looked at each other at one point and had that unspoken, "this is it" moment,' she gushed, adding that the property possesses a 'real soul'.
From Vision to Viral Renovation
The vendors, nutritionist and dietitian Ellie Watson and her husband Alex, embarked on a highly publicised journey to create their dream home. They initially purchased the land in 2021 for $1.486 million and chronicled every step of the renovation and design process to Ellie's 652,000 Instagram followers.
Their project culminated in a popular online series, 'Building Our Dream Family Home', with the first episode alone attracting 36,000 views on YouTube. Working with designer Luke Holmes, the Watsons realised a minimalist-yet-chic vision, completing the build in February 2024. The home's notable features include:
- Lime-washed walls and ceilings.
- Luxe Taj Mahal quartzite finishes.
- Modern skylights and Danish timber cabinetry.
The final result is a five-bedroom residence boasting a media room, a home office, and vast outdoor entertaining areas that open to a resort-style pool and bordering rainforest.
A New Chapter for All
Having lived in the completed home for just over a year, the Watsons' decision to sell surprised many of their dedicated followers. Ellie acknowledged that fans were 'shocked', but hinted that this is not the end of their creative story. 'We built it with the intention of it being our dream home, but I loved the creative process, so we're keen to do it again,' she revealed, teasing a new 'building journey' to come.
The Watsons, who married in Byron Bay in 2018 and have two young children, are now passing the keys to the model couple. For Isabelle Mathers and Harri Musumeci, the acquisition of The Valle Casa represents more than a property transaction; it is the securing of their own private sanctuary, filled with the design legacy of its previous visionary owners.
