Boydens Expands Block Management into London

Boydens is expanding its block management operation into London after securing its first clients in the capital. The Colchester-based agency already manages more than 3,000 units across Essex and Suffolk. Its latest instructions include a residential development near St Paul's Cathedral.

Three Decades of Block Management

Boydens has provided block management services for more than 30 years. Its nine-strong team operates from the company's Colchester head office. The portfolio includes traditional leasehold properties, converted historic buildings and purpose-built apartment blocks containing between six and 120 units.

The agency also manages communal areas on predominantly freehold estates and private residential developments. Its existing client base covers Colchester, Chelmsford, Felixstowe, Ipswich and Sudbury.

Promotion Follows London Expansion

As part of the expansion, Boydens has promoted Euan Shepherd to assistant manager. Shepherd, who joined the business four years ago, will oversee the day-to-day running of its block management service.

He said: “We’re very busy with several new clients including our first in London, a prestigious development close to St Paul’s Cathedral.” The agency works with developers, landlords, freeholders and Right to Manage companies.

Shepherd added: “We have lots of further exciting opportunities in the pipeline, but the priority is to continue delivering the best possible service to our existing clients while taking on new ones.”

Building on Regional Footprint

Philip Boyden, managing director of Boydens, said the firm was looking to build on its established presence in the East of England. “More recently, we have started to gain clients in London, and we are keen to continue developing our regional footprint.”

He also welcomed Shepherd's promotion, citing his contribution to the department over the past four years.
