Pembrokeshire, a stunning coastal county in Wales, has been named one of the 10 Best Food Destinations in the UK and Ireland by the prestigious Michelin Guide. It is the only Welsh location to feature on the list, joining renowned foodie spots like the Lake District, Padstow, and Dublin.

Michelin Guide Praises Pembrokeshire's Culinary Scene

The Michelin Guide highlighted Pembrokeshire for its combination of gorgeous landscapes and exceptional dining. The guide states: "There are several parts of Wales we could have chosen here, from the bustling hub of Cardiff to the creative restaurants of the north. But Pembrokeshire, one of the country's most attractive regions, is also home to a cluster of restaurants to tick off during your days of hiking and adventuring." It adds: "The entirety of the county is gorgeous, but the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park comes with some particularly special landscapes, best accompanied with some lovely Pembrokeshire lamb."

The Michelin Guide recognition comes in the same week that six Welsh restaurants secured places on The Good Food Guide's Top 100 Local Restaurants list for 2026. They are: The Black Bear Inn in Bettws Newydd (Monmouthshire), Ogof and Thomas in Cardiff, the Brasserie in Swansea, The Shed in Swansea, Y Polyn in Nantgaredig, and The Dining Room at Abersoch.
