New Bentley Flying Spur Revives Classic Look with Supercar Hybrid Power
New Bentley Flying Spur: Classic Look, Supercar Power

Bentley has refreshed its Flying Spur with a cleaner design, more power, and an even more luxurious cabin, aiming to keep its flagship four-door at the top of the luxury saloon segment.

Design: A Return to Single Headlights

For the first time since 1962, a Bentley saloon features single front headlights, aligning the Flying Spur with the latest Continental GT. This gives the car a sharper front end, with the grille now integrated into the bumper and smoother front wings without the previous vent detail. At the rear, the boot lid has been reshaped, along with new lights and a body-coloured number plate surround. New 22-inch wheel finishes are available for Azure and S models, and a new Dark Teal paint colour—a metallic mid-blue with green hints—has been added.

Performance: The Most Powerful Flying Spur S

The Flying Spur S returns with Bentley's High Performance Hybrid powertrain, producing 671bhp and 930Nm of torque—128bhp more than its predecessor. It accelerates from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 191mph. The S model features Bentley's Performance Active Chassis, including Active All Wheel Drive, twin-valve dampers, torque vectoring, a 48V active anti-roll system, and an electronic limited-slip differential for the first time. Externally, the Blackline Specification adds gloss black grilles, black badges, and dark-tinted lights.

Interior: Handcrafted Luxury and Premium Audio

Buyers can choose from five seat styles, each requiring 12 hours of handcraftsmanship, with fluted or quilted inserts. The new Mulliner Virtuoso Collection introduces the Naim for Mulliner audio system, featuring 21 speakers and technology from Focal's Grand Utopia. It offers three themes: Soprano, Tenor, and Bass, with Champagne Gold detailing throughout.

Production and Outlook

Orders are open now, with production at Bentley's Crewe factory starting in September 2026 and first deliveries expected before year-end. Prices remain unannounced, but the Flying Spur continues to target the ultra-luxury market. Bentley has delayed its electric-only target to 2035, making this V8 hybrid a key model for the brand's near future.
